Dear friends, here’s a little treat for you!
I’d embed it here, but you really should go to YogaDawg’s blog to see the awesome mashup video he produced, combining Bob Weisenberg’s wonderous Flamenco-style (I think) guitar playing with some beauteous yoga asana.
Most inspiring.
Happy Tuesday, people.

You got it right, Svasti. It’s not only flamenco, but authentic traditional flamenco.
You see, I used to participate in long debates about what is and isn’t flamenco in the same way I do with Yoga now!
There are so many parallels, even to the extent that I had a flamenco guru, the venerable Diego del Gastor, and I went to live among the gypsies in Andalusia. The piece YogaDawg used is called “Homage to Diego”.
I guess it will be no surprise that in flamenco, as in Yoga, I’m an ultra-traditional player who embraces diversity, including all the more commercial music people insist on calling “flamenco” today!
I really enjoyed YogaDawg’s treatment. Thanks for passing it on.

@Bob – I really love flamenco. Its such a passionate kind of music! How amazing, an opportunity to live with gypsies. Have you written about that at all? Thanks for the info and for sharing your post.
You can find an article about my time in Spain on the CD notes for “American Gypsy”, the last row on this page of pictures from my MySpace site:

(including the complete version of the piece YogaDawg used–”Homage to Diego”)
Thanks so much for your appreciation.

@Bob – I’ve just spent the last couple of days listening to your two albums on last.fm and I wanted to say thank you for sharing your beautiful, gentle, passionate, intricate and utterly delightful music with the world. Truly, I’m impressed.
